=========================================================================
CHANTE'S SONG is an engaging story about romance, friendships, infidelity and so much more.

It grabs you from the very beginning as the main character, Chante, engages you with her complex love affairs. As the story unfolds, you feel as though you are hearing it from your best girlfriend and you will not want to put the book down until you hear every RACY detail in the events of her life. And that goes on throughout the entire novel!

Overall, CHANTE''S SONG gives you plenty of drama, lots of laughs and you will even shed some tears as you find yourself asking out loud ---"Is this all really happening to one woman"? WOW! :)

A MUST READ for sure!!

The Dirty Martini | According to Jenn.....

Check out what VH1 BBW starlet Jennifer Williams has to say about the lawsuit mayheim

After catching hate and criticism--even allegedly from the VH1 staff who accused her of being just as guilty for the drama--Jennifer Williams posted a blog today defending her decision to slap Nia Crooks with a lawsuit.

Here's the blog in full:

And the BS continues… I honestly could not stomach to watch last week’s episode. I had lived through the craziness and to relive it was just too much for me. But I would like to clarify a few things. First up, I never had an issue with “the assistant” up until that day. At one point, we were good friends. We went out together, went to dinner, stayed at each other’s houses and shared plenty of good times and laughs. There had been some incidents leading up to why I started pulling away from the friendship but I don’t feel the need to blast that information. However, the most important reason why I eased up on the friendship is because she started working for someone who refers to themselves as my “enemy.” To me being good friends would just cause the situation to be messy so I rather fall back. No love lost and I like I said, I didn’t have any issue with her until she put her hands on me.

Ok now let’s get to the foolery… AGAIN!!! I just find it so unfortunate someone I once called a friend has no respect for me and felt the need to violent me physically. So of course after you completely disrespect me by putting your hands on me, my mouth is going to get reckless. I am not happy for the things I said to her but I was caught off guard and left in a vulnerable state. The 2-bedroom apartment comment got taken way out of context. I live in a 2-bedroom apartment so why would I look down on her for that. My point was don’t act like I lived with you when you live in a 2 bedroom apartment with a roommate. There would be no room for me and all my stuff that barely fits in my 2-bedroom apartment in NJ. The whole attack against me was pointless. Okay, we aren’t friends no need to fight about it let’s all be mature adults and move on. People come into your life for a reason, season or a lifetime. I wish it didn’t have to be this way, it makes me sad but that is life.

I did what I felt was right by filing a police report and having my attorneys handling the situation. I am an entrepreneur and a mature adult. Who fights at this age? I was taught to let the authorities handle criminals. Having graduated with a degree in Political Science and a concentration in Pre-Law, I am fully aware of my legal rights and the justice system. If you put your hands on someone, there will be repercussions. End of story…

For the record, I have changed. I am striving to be an independent woman and I am building a future for myself. I have zero time or tolerance for BS. I am not sitting around waiting for a man to take care of me. Lucid is 100% mine; I built it from the ground up. No licensing deal or I am a paid spokes model. I don’t sit around and knock what my cast mates are trying to do business wise. Be a leader and not a follower, no one was thinking about the cosmetic industry until way after Lucid. At the end of the day, I find it all unfortunate that I am the constant topic when it comes to hate and no one can uplift one another. Fame has never been a weakness of mine but by watching this show I can’t say the same for all the ladies. I just hope everyone can recognize what is really important in this life because Basketball Wives will not always be the HOT thing… Then what???

Special thank you to my legal team, Corey Boddie, Sanford Rubenstein and Sabrina Puglisi also my publicist, Elizabeth Traub and my manager, Deanna Morales. And thank you to all my family and friends who have been so supportive of me during all this craziness. I cannot forget my loyal viewers, much love.

Well what do y'all have to say about that?

5 Questions | Donneil Jackson

Author Donneil Jackson is breaking her book Chante's Song down with our resident GUEST BOOK REVIEWER Cassandra Ester on this week's show.  Sandi read this book in less then a week ya'll.  But for now get to know Donneil a little better with these 5 questions.....

1.  Who is your favorite author?  Why?
I have a few favorite authors. My number one is slowly trickling down my list of favorites. I love Lolita Files and Sheneska Jackson (where is she now-I really wonder this). Both of them had a certain style of writing that told me my style was acceptable.  I can’t really describe it. Lolita had me hooked with her novel, Getting to the Good Part, and I fell in love with Madison from Sheneska’s novel, Lil Mama’s Rules.

2.  Best way to spend a Saturday.

Doing absolutely nothing. (Except being on Cocktails and Conversation that is...)

3.  If you could be any character in your book who would it be and why?

 I would be Chante. Why not be the starring lady? The lady who as she put it is the HBIC. I’m no ‘nasty girl’ however I love to take a walk on the dark side for just once in a fictional land.

4.  Chocolate or Potato Chips?

 Potato Chips (Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar to be exact). I am not a fan of chocolate. I know that might be hard to believe, a woman who doesn’t crave chocolate. Laughing out loud.

5.  Do you think books should be made into movies?

I think the books that I read shouldn’t be made into the movies. And that’s not \a bad thing. When you read a book, you escape into it. You envision everything as you see fit. Your imagery is destroyed when they put in on the silver screen. Also, all the movies don’t always do the book justice. Movies do not always live up to the expectations that the book has set.

Sounds like we have one juicy book to review along with all the other gossip and reality lowdown for the week.  So get your glass, turn up the volume and get ready to dive into Chante's Song by Donneil Jackson reviewed by Cassandra Ester.  To learn more about Donneil, her book and upcoming projects please visit her website www.donneildjackson.com.

Cool Jobs | StyleDIVA edition

On the show this morning we chatted with Brett deMarris of @WedItVideo and he gave us some inside information on what he'd do if he wasn't the AWESOME creator of WedIt.  The Divas told him that he could be an advice columnist based on the good advice he gave a wife married for 25 years about how to deal with her marital issues (you'll have to listen to the show to find out the rest) SHAMELESS PLUG: You can click here and listen Weddings Gone Wild.  Anyways all this talk got me to thinking on what other jobs cool jobs I'd like to do and here is my list:

1.  I would love to be the OPI Nail Polish Namer, or whatever they are called.  I mean coming up with cool names like Do You Think I'm Tex-Y or Blue My Mind would totally rock!

And when he walks in NoONE else will matter!
2.  Casting Director, yeah I'd love this one.  Having folks auditioning for parts would be hilarious!  Just having that kinda power to make or break someone - Sorry I'm a Scorpio and sometimes that side comes out in me.  Don't Judge Me!

3.   Philanthropist - no need to explain this one.  Finding great places/people that need funds and I could give it to them, yeah that fits my personal life philosophy for sure.  Ahh to get that Big Game money!

So hey what's on your cool job list?  Do you have one?  Share some ideas with us below, like in the COMMENTS section.  Yep just look down there and start typing...now NOT later.  LOL!  Looking forward to seeing your entries.

1. Favorite scent?  Bond No. 9 Bryant Park (Oh she is way so stylish)

 2. Last song you downloaded. Beyonce "I Was Here"

 3. Advice you'd give a young stylist starting out.  For every 100 "no's" there is one "yes" don't get discouraged. If you believe in your dream keep fighting.

4. Wedge or platform heels?  I like them both. It depends on my mood. If I'm looking for comfort I go with a wedge if I'm going for fierce I opt for a platform.

5. Favorite quote or bible verse.  I'll give you one of each..."Fashions fade, style is eternal"-Yves St. Laurent and Psalms 23:4-5 (Look it up peeps)

Now that you are in the world of Fatima Tan'ia you've got to be sure to join her and us on the show this week with her take on Marvelous Misses, Fab finds under Fifty, Sassy Stylish Shoe and April's Fashion Roundup.  Make sure you listen to Cocktails and Conversation on Saturday 4/21 8AM EST

5 Things WedIt Video Creator Brett deMarris can't live without

Brett was one of the first guys to join us on Cocktails and Conversation and we knew from his 1st appearance that we had to have him back on.  This Saturday we get our chance but before he comes on to chat about Weddings Gone Wild get to know what he can't live without.

I wonder if this one is big enough for Brett
1. Television - I am a huge tv junky, it is my favorite way to unwind. Everything from real housewives to sports

Wonder if this is an unwind kinda book
2. Books - My second favorite way to unwind and escape from the real world

3. Meat - I am a huge meat fan. All kinds: burgers, steaks, sausages etc. Please don't take that away from me
Don't mess with a man's food!
Who doesn't love Family?

                      4. Family - This one is obvious I love them and they love me

5. Michigan Football - I worked for the team and went to school there and am a die hard fan.

Hmm...Erika's a Sparty so this will be interesting!

Well that was fun!  Thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself with us Brett, even though you are camera shy. :)  Listen to the show this week "Weddings Gone Wild" and you are for sure going to have a great cocktail to serve and lots of laughs.  Click the link to listen Saturday, 4/21 8AM EST: Cocktails and Conversations.

5 Questions with Adrian Bustamante

This Saturday the Divas will be sitting down and having virtual cocktails with actor Adrian Bustamante as he fill us in on some of his upcoming projects like his guest appearance on ABC's "Don't Trust The B---- in APT 23" which premiered this Wednesday.  We had a chance to sit down with Adrian the other night and asked him a few burning questions that were on our minds.  Take a peek...

1. Boxers or briefs?

I am definitely a briefs guy, but not the tighty whitey briefs I wear the boxer briefs.  My friends and  I used to call them bundies.

2. What is your favorite cologne and why?

You know I have a lot of cologne but my go to right now is Antidote by Viktor & Rolf.  It's just a nice clean smell, gotta stay smelling so fresh and so clean.

3. Your jeans...do you wear then skinny, straight or bootleg?

As mush as it pains me to say it, I got on the skinny jean band wagon.  I like staying in fashion and skinny is definitely in.

4. When coloring are you an inside or outside the line kind of guy?

I am an inside the lines guy, I even goes as far and making a dark trace along the line to accentuate how well I stay in the lines.

5. You're having a dinner party and can invite 5 people, who would be on your guest list?

5 people......I am going to go the the following:

1. Walt Disney - I am a huge Disney nerd, so to have an evening with him would be amazing.

2. John Candy - Gotta have a comedian at my dinner party and why not one of the funniest ever!

3. Jackie Robinson - I am also a huge baseball fan and he is the only player I have ever read a biography on and his story is just amazing.  Why not pick the brain of a man like that for a while.

4. Justin Martin - This one is actually my deceased brother, I figure one last night of laughs, good stories and food would make for a great night.

5. Amelia Earhart - Just because I wanna know what the hell happened!  Ha!  And if you know her story she is a true fighter and icon.

Sounds like that would be an amazing dinner party and of course the Divas would just happen to be in the neighborhood  and would have to stop by and make everyone an amazing cocktail or two!  *wink* *wink*

You can find out more about Adrian this Saturday where the Divas will have a drink waiting for you and lots more dish on Adrian and the projects he's working on.  (and did we mention that he is a cutie too?!?!?)

Tune in LIVE Saturday, April 14th @ 8:00 AM EST for some delicious cocktails and lots of good conversation on Cocktails and Conversation!

5 Questions with Kristyn Burtt

You have probably heard our new divalicious addition to the CnC team, Kristyn Burtt during her special Oscar appearance on the show.  Well you've heard her chat about the latest and the greatest in LA (ie The Clooney interview) so let's get to know her a little bit more with these 5 questions.....

1.  What is your zodiac sign? Sagittarius (The Divas did some research and likes that Sagittarius' are: FUN, SOCIABLE, like LUXURY ITEMS and PARTIES, yep sounds like a good combination!)
2.  Cali or Miami and why?  Well, I already live in Cali and I love it, so I will vacation in Miami for a little East Coast international flair.

3.  What is your favorite cocktail?  A drink from one of my favorite Hollywood hangouts.  It's called Accomplice: Organic Vodka, strawberry syrup, champagne and lemon juice

4.  What was your worst interview ever? And the best?

Ummm......my recent worst interview involves an Oscar winner and it rhymes with Meese Mitherspoon.  I am going to give her a pass for now since she was in her first trimester. I'm hoping my girl was having a bad day.

My recent favorite was Meryl Streep at the Academy Awards because she's Meryl "17 Oscar nominations, 3 Oscar wins" Streep!

5.  What is your favorite Saturday outfit, designer duds or low-key stitches?   Since I spend my Sunday-Thursday nights in designer duds covering Hollywood's red carpets and events, my Saturday night often involves sweats, slippers, and my Flashdance sweatshirt.

Join us this Saturday, 8AM and listen in to all the Hollywood Hoopla with Kristyn, she is guaranteed to bring the dish for us to serve with our cocktail.  Oh and if you want you can visit Kristyn's website to get even more goodies on her at: Red Carpet TV

Kickin the C.R.A.P

I'm always up for a new way to shed some of my awesomeness so when I heard about the CRAP movement I decided to dedicate April to it.

C=Caffeine
R=Refined Sugar
A=Alcohol
P=Processed Foods

Can you imagine removing all of this from your diet all at one time? Luckily I have some support from one of my former cheer coach peers to get me through. So I am not much of a cook and the processed part is going to be a real challenge for me but thank goodness for Pinterest because I found some fantastic recipes and I'm sharing one with you tonight. Mine is actually in the oven as I type.

http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/06/crash-hot-potatoes/

Try it and let me know how yummy yours turned out.
