#Hotness - Music | Kelly Roland Airs her 'Dirty Laundry' with this HOT new single!

Abusive ex-boyfriend, watching your BFF's career take off while yours fizzles and on top of that the two of you aren't even talking.  That is what Kelly (Ms. Rowland if you're nasty) is talking about in her HOT new single 'Dirty Laundry' from her forthcoming album Talk A Good Game.

Now I will be the first to admit that I am not a huge Kelly Rowland fan but if this single is any indication of what we can expect to hear on the rest of the album, well...I may have to consider purchasing it.  This single is raw and real and I'm sure we can all relate to some if not all of what she is saying (can I get an AMEN up in here???).   But don't just go by my word, take a listen and let me know what you think in the comments section below.  Is this a 'hit" or a 'miss"?

#Hotness | What I'm Listening To

I am a HUGE Justin Timberlake fan so you can imagine my excitement when I heard that he was coming out with a new CD. *insert 6 year old girl high pitch squeal here*  And after listening to his first single Suit & Tie featuring Jay Z, he didn't disappoint.  In true JT fashion he's giving his fans what they love about his music and what we have all be waiting for and that is some good music.  Music that we can dance to, music to workout to, and music to love to.  Yes, this diva is counting the days until "The 20/20 Experience" is available.  As of today, he's been keeping the release date a secret.  But until then, we can enjoy his new tune.  I know this is one song that will be in heavy rotation on my iPod.

Tell us what you think in the comments section below.

Ciao

#Hotness | January CurlBOX

Ever since going curly this past summer, I am always watching YouTube videos and reading blogs on how other curly girls take care of and style their hair (there is soooo much out there).  I am also on the hunt for curl friendly products to try (yes, I am an undercover product junkie).  So imagine my delight when I came across the "it" subscription service targeted to the natural girl.

Enter CurlBox which is the brainchild of Myleik Teele whi is the owner of the successful marketing and public relations agency, Art of Fact.  CurlBOX is an accessible, budget friendly (yes, Sister Save-A-Lot would approve) and simple way to discover and try new hand selected natural hair care products delivered straight to your door monthly.  As a subscriber you will receive 5-7 hair product samples from established and new brands for a monthly fee of $20.  Ladies, this is a steal seeing that you can spend that amount if not more on one product alone.  Also, if at anytime you decide that you don't want to receive the CurlBox anymore, simply cancel your subscription.  Yes, it's that easy!

I was lucky enough to snag a subscription last month and just received the January CurlBOX this past weekend.  You can see all the goodies that were in my box by clicking here.

Go to CurlBox to get more information of this awesome service and find out how you can subscribe.  Now if you'll excuse me I've got some products to try!

Keeping it curly!

#Hotness – Fab Subscription Services We Love

What girl (or grown woman) doesn’t love trying new products and well playing in make-up?  What would you do if I told you that for as little as $10 a month you can get 4-5 full-size or sample size products delivered right to your door?  Does the sound of that make your stomach flutter like it did mine?  If your first response was ‘Where do I sign up?’ then this #Hotness post is just for you!

My two favorite monthly subscription services are MyGlam and Birchbox

Each month subscribers of MyGlam will receive a beautiful Glam Bag filled with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products to try; delivered right to your door…all for, get this…$10/month. (Doing the happy dance)  In addition to the monthly products that you will receive, subscribers can also watch the MyGlam YouTube channel to find out how to use the products and are encouraged to try new looks.  Now I will be the first to admit that the good people over at MyGlam are targeting a much younger demographic (18 – 25 year old) because some of the video themes and demos are a bit young (back to school make-up anyone?) however the products found in their monthly bags (which are the cutest things) are for all women no matter how old you are. Yes, 40+ year old mother of 3, you too can be a MyGlam bag subscriber!  I have been a subscriber (and yes, I am a 40+ year old mother of 3) since April and I will be the first to tell you that I have yet to be disappointed.

Here is a look inside my August Glam Bag:

Products included:
Circus by Andrea Choice | Nail polish
Eclos | Anti-aging face serum
Eclos | Anti-aging regenerative cream
Salty | mineral eye shadow
Clean Skin | Roll-on oil
 MyGlam | Glam gloss

For more information on MyGlam or to subscribe visit them here.

Another subscription service that I get, that I absolutely love is Birchbox.  Birchbox is a smart, streamlined, and fun way to discover high-end beauty, grooming, and lifestyle products. Co-founders Hayley Barna and Katia Beauchamp both Harvard schoolmates created Birchbox to help consumers cut through the clutter of the retail world to find products that really work for them.  (Thank you ladies!)  For just $10/month, you will receive a selection of samples that they have tried both from well-known brands to emerging gems.  Each month you can expect to receive products ranging from skincare to make-up as well as fun non-beauty extras.  Birchbox also launched their men’s subscription service delivering top-tier grooming products in addition to lifestyle accessories ranging from hip socks to tech accessories.

Here is a peek inside what was in my August Birchbox:

August 2012 Birchbox

Products included:
Shick |  Hydro Silk Razor
Juicy Couture | Viva la Juicy La Fleur perfume
Show Stoppers | Designer Fashion Tape
Stila | Stay All Day HD beauty balm, foundation & concealer

For more information on Birchbox or to subscribe visit them here.

It’s time to dump that make-up you’ve been wearing since high school/college and try something new. The best thing about both these subscription services is that you can cancel at any time!  So why not try something new and sign up for one or both today?

It’s time to let your inner DIVA shine!

#Hotness | StyleDIVA

Here are few things that are hot on my list this month:

The Calendar Bracelet by Dalla Nonna

1.  A Dalla Nonna calendar bracelet  is what all the cool moms want -- and I'm no different.  My only problem is two kids, born in two different month so what's a mom to do?  Well I could get two.  Prices range from $125 - $650 depending on the metal you choose.  Which ever you decide, do choose one.

2.  Instant Moisture Mask by Sephora takes care of those dry spots on your beautiful face. The spa at home for complete moisture and summer shine.  $14 at Sephora stores or online.

3.  The Milano Drop-Front Shoe Box is the ultimate in love for your shoes.  Pricey at $14.99 each so I reserve for those special shoes or the ones I get on sale that don't come with boxes :).  This is classy BABBEEE!

#Hotness | Spring Time Favorites

With Spring in full blast here in the south (we're talking 80+ degree people) a DIVA has got to keep it right and tight as she's going through the day.  So today, I thought I would share with you some of my "go to" all time favorite products that I am using on the daily to keep my look on it's "A" game.

1. Carol's Daughter Wash Away the Oil Face Lotion - helps remove excess oil after washing

2. purminerials Under Control Oil Mattifying Gel - to help keep mid-day shine to a minimum

3. Enjoy Sulfate Free Luxury Shampoo and Enjoy Luxury Conditioner - my hair feels, smells and looks great after washing (added bonus - shampoo can also be used as a body wash BINGO!)

4. Miss Jessie's Baby Butter Cream - this is great for those days when I want to wash and go

5. Maybelline New York The Falsies Mascara - your lashes will never be the same...talk about making them pop!

6. Biofreeze - this product is GREAT for those sore muscles after that intense bootcamp class (remember you've got to keep that body tight) added bonus is that it doesn't smell.

Always giving it to you straight!

#Hotness | BLAZE by Solar Active

BLAZE Laquer by SolarActive is one HOT nail polish. This sun-activated color changing nail lacquer is hands down the DIVAS’ pick this season.  I've seen cars change colors but now ladies we have one up on the boys! That's right we can have it one way in the office and when you leave to head for drinks with the girls BLUP BLUP your polish will change colors as soon as you hit the sun. Not only do these colors pop but you get the benefit of being a sexy chameleon.  As the StyleDIVA I was so excited to get my hands on this new product and give it a test run, so off to the nail salon I went and check this cool color out

I wonder how the Event Diva enjoyed her color changing polish................

Event Diva | I was very excited to get the 2 bottles of BLAZE nail polish in the mail.  We received the Pop Pink to Plum Twist and Sparkelicious to Red Hott Mama to try.  My mini me and I loved the colors that we decided to paint our toes the Pop Pink to Plum Twits and our finger nails Sparkelicious to Red Hott Mama.  After getting all diva-fied we went outside to put the polish to the test and we were not disappointed.  It was fun watching the color change right before our eyes…and the colors were amazing!!!!!  My fav is the Sparlelicious to Red Hott Mama…this is one color that I will be rocking this winter, for sure!

Sparkelicious...before

Red Hott Mama...after

Nice huh? Well don't fret you to can get a bottle of BLAZE at any mass retailer world wide for only $7.95 - $12.95 it's like getting two nail polishes for one cool price! Oh and of course you can swoop up a bottle on their site www.BLAZENAILPOLISH.com

They will also have a new spring line coming in 2012 so DIVAs be on the lookout!

#Hotness | Body by BrownRoque

Imagine my surprise when I went for my weekly mailbox run and saw a big package JUST for me.  Earlier in the week I spoke with one of our Twitter followers, @BodyRoque about doing a product review and I surely told her yes.  I never expected to receive a full fledged kit of Peppermint Lavender Soap, Peppermint Lavender massage Oil AND Peppermint Lavender Bath Salts.  My goodness, as I walked home I was planning “Bath Night” thinking in my mind what Pandora station I was going to listen to behind my locked bathroom door.

Speed up the clock 3 hours, everyone is fed, homework done and favorite TV program on and it was time for me to make an escape…..queue  Pandora Earth, Wind and Fire station.

The first thing I remember was the smell of the Lavender from the bath salts, it was mentioned that it was good to use during flu season.  Well I didn’t have the flu (thank goodness) but my throat was a little scratchy and the Peppermint provided some soothing.  After splish splashing in my Peppermint Lavender dream bath I slowly got out and slathered on the massage oil that was a little sticky.  But after talking with the owner of @BodyRoque I got the remedy for that. Just heat it up a little in the micro and then slather it on – it worked!  Did I mention that the bottle was sealed, like a romantic gold seal that is reminiscent of ROYALTY – watch out Kate!  After I slipped on my PJs I joined the kids for TV time and my daughter touched my arm and noticed how soft my skin felt (1 cocktail glass) and how great I smelled (2 cocktail glasses) and the best rating was how good I slept that night (3 – 5 cocktails) I mean I slept so G8 that I had to literally rolled out of bed, I really needed that.

So this lovely trio of goodies is getting a 5 out of 5 Cocktail Glass rating!  Want to order one of these kits?  Visit their website www.BodyRoque.com to place an order and learn about the other fabulous products they have to offer.  You can also take a personal skin assessment to get to your desired scent or for someone on your Christmas list.
