Make Mine a Double Monday

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
-       Dr. Seuss

Today we’re talking about keeping the love and passion alive in your relationship.  Come on let’s be honest, being in a relationship is work.  But when done, it can be the most rewarding work you will ever do because the payoff is great!  So to help you keep that love fire burning we offer you these tips.

To help you keep the passion going in your relationship we suggest you:

Play YOUR song(s) – When he/she is driving you nuts, take a moment to recall your favorite couple memories and why you fell for them.

Take an adventure – Now this doesn’t have to be something expensive (Paris anyone???) try something simple (and not as expensive as Paris) like trying a new cuisine to stay connected. (Yes, we’re talking about that new hip restaurant you read about in the paper.)

Hold hands – Awww, it doesn’t get better that that, right? Nonsexual contact bonds you so be sure to touch often.

So there you go Lovebirds!  Now go out and light that love fire!

Rounding up our Panelist Cast | JrTheBossMan

Last to be introduced but certainly NOT least is JrTheBossMan, recent Masters' degree grad.  Whoot Whoot!  If it's one thing we've found out about listening to his show is that he's funny, he LIVES sports and he has an opinion and has NO problem telling you what it is.  So without further adieu meet The Boss Man:

Relationship Quote: "If you base your relationship off of what a comedian turn "alleged" love doctor has to say, my lady, you gonna be SINGLE like a PRINGLE."

Jermaine is the name, keeping it real is my thing. Better known to the masses as JR or most frequently JR The Bossman.

JR is a recent Masters' graduate from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, where he also received his Bachelors' degree from as well. He splits time between the cities of Nashville, Atlanta and Orlando, when he's not on the road covering a NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL or some other pertinent event live.

JR hosts his own sports show on BlogTalkRadio nightly at Midnight ET/11 PM CT and weekends at 6PM ET/5PM CT

Besides talking sports, JR loves talking relationships, JR believes that women should be held accountable and taken to task in the same manner that mainstream media takes men to task. He is not afraid to call women on the stuff that they do. He calls it how he sees it, whether you like or NOT, he doesn't care. Because the truth is what it is and it will set you free.

Another HEAVY Hitta for our #MenTalk Panelist | Harvey Christian

Harvey has been chatting with us all week about #MenTalk and The Divas think he just might give us more trouble than the rest on the panel.  Just remember Harvey it's all done in fun!  :)  Get to know Mr. Christian.

Bio:

Harvey Christian
Detroit, Michigan
married 12 years to Nicole
(2) children Noah 7, Haley 3

Relationship Quotes: 1) Always remember, God does not promise you life will be easy but he does promise to be there with you every step of the way.
2) Marriage is a journey.
3) You may not always "like" your spouse but you should always love and respect each other.

I was born, raised and educated in Detroit, Michigan. My parents divorced when I was 4. I was raised by my mother. She ruled with an iron fist. She was a mother that knew she could raise me to be an adult but understood she could not make me a man. So, she made sure I had strong male influences, my uncles. The man I have become is because of her and them.

I have been married 12 years. I see myself as old and new school. I have northern sensibilities and southern values. I believe I have a responsibility to be the spiritual head of my household. I should also be a provider. I do not however believe I should be the sole provider if that is not what my wife wants. Nor am I the "boss". My wife and I are equal partners in our corporation. The table in our "board room" is round. We work together for the good of our family and the happiness of our marriage.

We are diggin' your bow-tie style, we think our resident Fashionista @perceptionandco will love it too.  Oh don't forget she's on the show this Saturday too.  Well one more panelist to introduce to you all and then Erika and Robin will be getting some rest for Round 1 of #MenTalk.

Meet our Panelist | Talk 2 Q

We are finally ready to talk relationships with the fellas. Joining us this week are 4 brave men and The Divas would like to introduce you to our first victim (LOL).

Relationship Quote:

"Some people mistake tolerance for love. They think to themselves, 'since I put up with you, then I must love you.'"

Bio:

Marital Status: Married in 2002 to the lady I affectionately call "The Mrs."
Kids: None. However, I have two wonderful godchildren: Devan (DOB: 2003) and Erin (DOB: 2006).

About me:

I'm old school. Being blessed with a two-parent household as a child, I was raised with many traditional values from the Old South. Examples: taking my hat/cap off before entering someone's home, holding a door for a lady to enter first, a firm handshake, making eye contact when speaking with people, and being accountable for my actions to name a few. As crazy as it sounds, those things are becoming a lost art. Too many boys out there lack the man training that is necessary to continue the dwindling cycle of main components of manhood. Pride, responsibility and accountability have been replaced with entitlement, dependency and deflection. My goal is to return things to the way they should be.

Well, well, well we certainly can't wait to get his "some things just need to be said" approach to relationships this Saturday. Q's info is below please be sure to follow him and his weekly BlogTalk show. More guest intros coming soon. Get your cocktail glass ready!

Up Next at Bat for #MenTalk | TrueSpeech

This next brother really had us laughing when we said we wanted to have him on the show to talk relationships because the first thing we had to say was...you gotta tone it down for Saturday morning airtime.  LOL  JK, you can't tame this one!  Check out what he has to say.....

Relationship Quote: " Two pilots cannot fly a plane at the same time. It takes a pilot and Co-Pilot working together to make it to the destination safely and successfully."

I am a young opinionated intellectual Imported from Detroit, here to present reality according to me. I am Blogger; Thinker, artist, and above all a realist and I love to voice my opinion and intelligently discuss and debate differing views with others whose views I respect. I speak as much Truth as possible, and as raw as I can deliver it, because the truth should never be overcooked.

Hmmm...overcooked well we think they are cooking up something controversial to talk about this Saturday at 8AM for sure.  show some love our for our fellow D Town Homie and follow TrueSpeech at:

5 Things I Can't Live Without | Tiffany Current

Ladies...You've seen Think Like A Man so now you know how to get him to move to the next stage but how do you keep him there?  Well this week's guest can tell you just that.  Meet author of  the comically induced "How To Move In With Your Boyfriend (And Not Break Up With Him)", Tiffany Current and check out the 5 things she can't live without.

1) Phone - Yes, I am an iPhone junky.  I love using it to text friends, send tweets, surf the web, watch movies, and google map my way to the next location.

2) Television - More specifically trashy television.  Whether it's The Vampire Diaries,  Gossip Girl, or Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, trashy TV helps me appreciate the non-drama in my own life.  (The Divas agree she's our kinda girl!!!)

3) Family & Friends - I wouldn't be me without them, so I couldn't live without them either.

4) ChapStick - Blame it on habit or my chronic dry lips, but ChapStick is a must for every hour of the day.

5) Chocolate - There's a reason why the phrase "death by chocolate" exists.  Because if I had to choose, chocolate's definitely the best way to go.

Yes she definately belongs in the CnC club.  Anyone that can't live without chocolate is top-notch in our book.  Listen in on Saturday and chat with The Divas and Tiffany and learn more about how to keep that man of yours happy.  We will also have our Entertainment Girlfriend @KristynBurtt on the show and a special announcement from @chefamedaus.  Wow when we have a Cinco de Mayo celebration we really do it big.
