Real Celeb Moment

Everybody is getting engaged!  This one is really no surprise.  Brandy and her a little over two year or so boo Ryan Press have officially confirmed their engagement over the Christmas Holiday.  She has been quoted as saying, "If this isn't the one I'm never going to try this again."  Well we guess Ryan felt the same.  Congrats to the three of them because daughter Sy'Rai is also included in the mix, she'll be a Jr. Bridesmaid no doubt.

Reality TV Moment



This gets the, "This fool right chea" Award of the week!  Rapper (side-eye) Shawty Lo has a one-time one hour reality show scheduled to appear on Oxygen showcasing his not knowing how to wear a condom ways.  Shawty has 10 babies mamas and is expecting another baby soon.  The show that Oxygen should be hanging their head in shame for putting on TV, features the in-depth (no pun) life of how he and his babies mamas co-exist.  Hmmmm guess no one cares how the kids are going to be affected huh?  Our friends over at Black and Married with Kids had a few things to say about it as well and it sparked some great conversation, click here for that post: http://blackandmarriedwithkids.com/2012/12/in-response-to-bmwks-article-on-shawty-lo-and-all-my-babies-mamas/

This weeks Curvy Trend of The Week is featuring another look by Chic and Curvy boutique in LA. The multi-colored BodyCon Dress is hip hugging fun and Plus Model Janna is really doing a body good by adding the suede blue platform heels.  The NYE outfit just got easier to find!

Cocktail Erika Moment

A cocktail lovers dream holiday is going to be here real soon!  Why not try something really entertaining this year?  This Diva is taking a tip from Martha and adding a cute Countdown Toast to her NYE soiree.  The great part about this idea is that you can include the kiddies in by putting a non-alcoholic drink in their glass.  Get some cute flute glasses and number them  1 - 10 (self-stick #s of course) representing the last ten seconds of the NYE countdown and have each person "Raise Their Glass" for the number as the ball drops on the screen.  The extra bonus - numbers can easily be removed and the glasses used for other events in the year.

Fav Real Life Celeb Moment

Congrats to Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheredge on their Hawaiian nuptials.  The couple have been engaged for close to 2 years.  Bobbi Kris couldn't make it due to filming "Houston Chronicles" 0_0

Worst Reality TV Moment - Love and Hip Hop Atlanta wins the vote this week - The entire show.  This do over in another city doesn't get our vote or even a 1/2 of a martini glass on the drink meter.  Check out this clip "borrowed" from the VH1 website:

5 Questions with Kristyn Burtt

You have probably heard our new divalicious addition to the CnC team, Kristyn Burtt during her special Oscar appearance on the show.  Well you've heard her chat about the latest and the greatest in LA (ie The Clooney interview) so let's get to know her a little bit more with these 5 questions.....

1.  What is your zodiac sign? Sagittarius (The Divas did some research and likes that Sagittarius' are: FUN, SOCIABLE, like LUXURY ITEMS and PARTIES, yep sounds like a good combination!)
2.  Cali or Miami and why?  Well, I already live in Cali and I love it, so I will vacation in Miami for a little East Coast international flair.

3.  What is your favorite cocktail?  A drink from one of my favorite Hollywood hangouts.  It's called Accomplice: Organic Vodka, strawberry syrup, champagne and lemon juice   

4.  What was your worst interview ever? And the best?

Ummm......my recent worst interview involves an Oscar winner and it rhymes with Meese Mitherspoon.  I am going to give her a pass for now since she was in her first trimester. I'm hoping my girl was having a bad day. 

My recent favorite was Meryl Streep at the Academy Awards because she's Meryl "17 Oscar nominations, 3 Oscar wins" Streep! 

5.  What is your favorite Saturday outfit, designer duds or low-key stitches?   Since I spend my Sunday-Thursday nights in designer duds covering Hollywood's red carpets and events, my Saturday night often involves sweats, slippers, and my Flashdance sweatshirt.

We are sooooo proud of our very own Style Diva for doing what she loves (and is so good at too I might ask) and that is keeping us up to date on celebrity gossip.  Robin won the celebrity gossip contest on the new show Daytime with Donna on Toginet Radio.  Robin's segment aired on Friday, June 10th at 2:15pm and she did an AMAZING job!  And as always she gave a MAJOR plug to our show Cocktails and Conversations.
