Dirty Martini | Ain't Nothing Like a Good Ol' Dance-Off

Now who wants to dance against Shabba Do and Ozone???
Remember back in the mid 80's when life was simple and kids solved their issues with nothing other than a good old dance-off?  Ahh those were the days.....

Nine-year-old Quevenzhane Wallis, the breakout star of the hit movie "Beasts of the Southern Wild," can add another title to her already impressive career..dance-off champion. Yes, you heard me correctly, I said in addition to being an good actress she also packs a move on the dance floor.

Okay girls don't hurt 'em!
At the MTV Movie Awards Party, Quvenzhane battled 8-year-old Rachael Meiselas (the daughter of entertainment lawyer Kenny Meiselas and publicist Beth Katz Meiselas).  Quavenzhane scored first with a nice spin and the infamous breakin chest pump and wait, the girls tied when Rachael shut it down by doing the splits.

All in all the girls looked like they had a good time and the guests at the party enjoyed the show.  If we're being fair, both girls did an amazing job so I'm going to call this a tie!

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for our thought provoking question for the day.  Okay well our questions may not always be "thought provoking" but you can best believe they do go great with Tequila!

So today's question is...

{Source}
When it's time for you to relax, which do you chose:

  1. Spending time at the spa (facial and hot stone message please)
  2. Exercise ("Let's get physical")
  3. Reading a good book (50 Shades perhaps???)
  4. Listening to music (Michael Buble anyone???)

Sooooo tell us, how do you unwind after a long hard day/week/month?  Share your tips in the comment section below.  And while you're at it, here's a shot of Tequila for you!

The Dirty Martini Week in Review

Celeb 411

She is rich…as in very rich biotch!  Looks like NeNe wasn’t lying when she told then fellow cast-mate Sheree Whitfield during Season 4 of RHOA that she was cashing Trump size checks. As in Donald Trump!

Bloop!

It has been reported that BRAVO has ordered Season 6 of the popular RHOA earlier this month and the network was smart enough to offer NeNe (Ms. Leakes if you’re nasty) a supersized paycheck in the amount of $1 million dollars, for at least another year.   A source told Radar Online, “NeNe is the one viewers watch.  She knows that, BRAVO knows that and that is why they gave her a raise.”  Now we all know that NeNe doesn’t need to come back on RHOA thanks to her regular spots on Glee and The New Normal (Ryan Murphy can you hook a Diva up to???) she’s well aware that Housewives is her “bread and butter”.  So for all you NeNe haters and naysayers cash that!  Bloop!

 Reality Recap
Part one of the Real Housewives reunion aired this past Sunday and all I have is two words for you Kenya
Moore.  During the first part of the three part reunion series we see Kenya More (Miss America ooops U.S.A) throw some major shade towards Phaedra Parks and what started out as a battle over who had the best bootie has now grown into a full-fledged war.

Kenya’s latest claim – that Phaedra was totally irrelevant prior to the former Miss USA joining the Housewives cast this season. In other words what Kenya was saying is that the only reason people know who Phaedra is now is because of the ongoing feud between her and the former Miss USA.

  Hummmmm, okay Kenya, whatever!

Even host Andy Cohn raised an eyebrow at Keny’s comment, pointing out that people have been talking about Ms. Donkey Booty for a while now.

So tell us do you agree Andy that Phaedra made herself known long before Ms. Gone with the Wind Fabulous joined the cast.  Or as our beloved Evelyn Lozada from Basketball Wives would say was she a “non-mother f#$!^n factor” until Kenya came along?

Don’t forget to tune in for the RHOA Reunion part 2 Sunday, April 14th at 8/7c on BRAVO.  Check your local listing for times and channel information.

Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect to see next…

Dirty Martini

It's been a minute so we are sure you are THIRSTY for a full glass of Dirty Martini.....

Celeb 411

Thank goodness Heidi Klum was able to think fast enough to get some help for her eldest son Henry and two of his nannies. The family was Spring Break vacationing in Hawaii.  Heidi ended up helping all three out of the water.  She gets out Super Mama award of the week!

Reality Recap

Phaedra Parks LANDS her own BRAVO Spinoff with the working title "Rich People's Problems" and will highlight her legal/judicial capacity.  Hmmm....this should be interesting.  The synopsis of the show reads,
"When the rich and famous of Atlanta have a dispute, they know that only one lawyer will deliver some cold, hard justice:  Phaedra parks of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."  Whether it's friends battling over an $8,000 loan or accusations of stolen Chanel handbags or confusion over a prenuptial agreement and whether it entitles you to two or three live-in staff members, the rich certainly have an off sense of what qualifies as a problem in today's world, and Phaedra will be there to help them sort it all out."

StyleDIVA Adventures

Man I've been pretty boring as of late but that's all about to change.  Especially since I found a little bit of POWER.  Yep we all want a little power don't we ladies.  Well I found the most comfortable lil Power Chemise from Hips N Curves and when I tell you it holds in what needs to be held in IN with ease I mean it!  I even found that wearing it under my recently purchased BodyCon dress I walked a little sexier (if that's possible) on my way to pump gas at the gas station.  Power never felt sooooo sexy and you know you want a lil bit more sexy in your life.  :Shoulder dips out:

Cocktail Erika's Cocktail of the Week

It doesn't get any easier than this, the basic Mimosa recipe calls for a bottle of your favorite champagne and orange juice. A dash of each and you are in business to celebrate a wedding, Mother's day, whatever the occasion - nothing says fancy like a Mimosa.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Sparkling Wine, Cava, Prosecco or Champagne (1 bottle)
  • Orange Juice (1 carton)
  • Triple Sec (optional)

Preparation:

Fill half of a champagne flute with chilled sparkling wine or Champagne (about an ounce) and top off with chilled orange juice (again about 2 ounces), gently stir. If you'd like to add triple sec, just a splash to taste works out fine. For added flare, slice up a strawberry to decorate the rim of each flute. Enjoy!

Wednesday Wind Down - Parent's panties are in a bunch over Victoria's Secret

Last week many parents of young girls had their panties in a bunch over the release of Victoria's Secret new marketing campaign 'Bright Young Things'.  They were so angry that instead of vowing never to buy their 11-17  year old's under garments from Victoria's Secret they did the next best thing...they took to social networking to express their anger (via Twitter, blogs and Facebook) with the retailer.  Is Victoria's Secret wrong for marketing their undies to 11 year old girls (according to them, they aren't) OR should the parents "man up" and start parenting their children by not allowing them to buy from the store?  Who is responsible for raising our children?  We will discuss this topic and more during our show tonight.
We want to hear from YOU!
