It's a Fashion Wrap

Hey guys!  Well unfortunately the video from my time at #HauteCurves didn't make it through production.  Lost in Translation is how I'm titling this one.  Any whoos some of the highlights can be found in the YouTube video below but I also want to share with you my winner of the Haute Ass Outfit of the Night.  It goes to the blogger extraordinare behind Girl With Curves, Tanesha Awasthi.

She told me she was channeling Carrie Bradshaw!  I say she knocked it out the park for sure.  I also had to ask just how many shoes she had in her closet.  What do you think?  50 was her guess, I'd be willing to bet there might be a few more than that.  Thanks for chatting Tanesha, your blog is AMAZING, keep doing what you are doing for the curvy community.

So here's the highlight reel from #HauteCurves.  I'll have some great interviews coming up soon from some of the show participants so be sure to check back often.  Hey just go on and click SUBSCRIBE and you'll get your own personal version in your inbox!  Also remember it only takes a MOMENT to COMMENT so leave us some words below.

Be sure to listen to the Podcast from the show yesterday ====> it's right over there.  We chatted with Celeb Stylist Fatmia Tan'ia of Perception and Co on whatelse?  FASHION.  Get your cocktail, sit in your favorite chair and enjoy!

Every Way Woman TV Appearance

Many of you know I had an opportunity to appear on a local cable station program and YES I'm still smiling from the experience.  Well the debut has finally come and of course I just have to share it with the greatest fans EVER!  But before you view here are a few things I learned from this experience.

1.  The camera adds more pounds then I want to ever remember, so yep you guessed it - DIET TIME again.  Great

How I feel about #1
2.   Talking about Cocktails and Conversation without my PIC isn't as much fun - Erika you need to get on a jet plane out here!

3.  I can really really talk - I mean I had like no idea - REALLY!

And lastly the ladies of Every Way Woman are just the ABFAB!  We had an awesome time and you'll be able to tell from our interview.  So grab your favorite cocktail and click play and enjoy a few great laughs with the StyleDIVA and the ladies of Every Way Women TV.

5 Questions with Patrice Washington - Author | Speaker | Coach

When we talked to Patrice Washington author of Real Money Answers, we knew she was going to make a fantastic show guest.  Not only is she informative but extremely entertaining.  You are going to love her take on, "A Man is Not Your Financial Plan".  But of course we had to give you a lil introduction before the woman takes to the studio, so get to know Patrice a bit more with these 5 questions.

    1. If you were in a Soul Train line, what song would be playing and what dance would you be doing?
I've never been a true Soul Train line dancer, but when you're 6 feet with heels on, slender and kinda cute, most people usually let you get away with doing a hard Naomi Campbell walk down the line. :)

    2. Most inexpensive date you've been on.
My husband and I have made a huge picnic basket lunch and just sat out on the front lawn and people watched. Best dates ever!

    3. What is your favorite way to relieve stress?
My favorite way to relieve stress is having cocktails and conversations with my girls. . . Laughing is the biggest stress relief for me and I am blessed to have very crazy and entertaining friends!

    4. Who would you stand in line to buy a ticket to see in concert?
Yea, so I don't think I'd stand in line to buy a ticket to ANY musical concert. Working in entertainment and getting FREE tickets to everything for awhile, may have spoiled me. . . But a ticket to meet, greet and hang with Shelley O (known to others as First Lady Obama)? Now, I might stand in line for that!

    5. Power statements, something that gets you over the valleys in life - What's yours?
"I am who I say I am." Enough said.

Shelly O...hmmm we're wondering if it's more to the story than what Patrice is saying?  But you know The Divas will find out.  Check out Patrice this Saturday 8am EST on Cocktails and Conversation Radio.  We might even convince her to join us for the Wednesday Wind Down this week, stay tuned.

    The Dirty Martini

Star Jones is trying to throw talk show host Anderson Cooper under the bus. She's claiming he only "came out" for ratings?  Hmm...come on now Star would we really know who you were if you hadn't been chosen to be on The View and exploit your marriage to Al Reynolds.  How many freebies did you get for that lil shindig?  I ain't mad but pot you need to stop calling the kettle black or gay.  Whatever, just keep it moving.  Luckily you are still somewhat relavant!

A glowing Amber Rose was out and about shopping this week sporting that WizBump.  I'm still not understanding it but HEY whatever makes you happy Mama.  Love that dress and Chanel sandal.  She's dressing better these days - please don't make me eat these words next week.

Random: BTW Anderson I can't decide who is the cutest between you and Andy...oh a DIVA can dream.

    WOWSERS of the Week:
Poor Sheree was mistaken for a drag queen again.  Welp you look at this pic and be the judge

Apparently TV Guide mistook her picture for that of recently deceased Drag Queen Sahara Davenport.  Sahara was a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race and died this week at a very young age, reasons for the death have not been disclosed.  I hate to have to giggle at this part but Sheree tweeted TV Guide, expressed her condolences and then asked that her photo be removed from the site.  Do-Do-Do!  Our buddy in our head Andy Cohen then tweeted this:

And your Dirty Martini has been served.  Come back next week for ever more giggles!

    StyleDIVA Fashion Clink

I am totally in awe of what Fab designer Louis Vuitton created for fashion week in Paris.  He and Marc Jacobs went retro 60s but the amazing feature was the backdrop via a 4 section working escalator display.  The runway was an escalator moving sticky figured models to showcase the fashion.  Brilliant!  Then it all wrapped up with the carousel pic you see below.  Extra Fabulous!  On-lookers were able to get a really GREAT glance at the 2013 Spring/Summer collection.  Can't wait to see what's in store for LA Fashion Week next week.  Ciao until then.

5 Questions with Jennifer Davis and G.K. Bowes

This Saturday we not only have Hollywood Go to Girl Kristyn in the studio but special guests Jennifer Davis of the P.I.N.K. Foundation and her good girlfriend G. K. Bowes.  Well talk to Jennifer about her foundation and how she selected G. K. Bowes to represent her foundation in the So Cal Natural Beauty Pageant.  But for now get to know them with these 5 questions.....

Photo: ‎Show guests this week, Jennifer Davis of @pinksisters and G.K. Bowes, Ms. P.I.N.K. from the #SoCalNaturalBeautyPageant http://instagr.am/p/QRmWLKFapC/‎

    Jennifer said.....

    1. Favorite place to hang with your children?
I have a different favorite place for each child. My daughter, Jocelyn, aka my mini-me and I like to hang at the nail shop and hairdresser. She's truly a girl and already a little style diva. My middle son, Justin-Christopher, his favorite place is the movie theater. His Dad usually takes him so when I do it' a real treat for both of us. Now my new man, Josiah, the baby our favorite place to hang out is in the bed with the door closed to keep everyone else out nursing. I don't know why but nursing this baby is really something special and I'm not sure I want it to end.

    2. Dream car is a Mercedes- Benz GLK550!!!!!! (I will have one in the next 5 years, just wait)

    3. If you were a reality TV Star who would you be?

Okay, I don't watch much reality TV heck I hardly watch any TV so I had to ask my FB and Twitter fam for help on this one and I agree with what they came up with. I'm a cross between Tami Roman and Shaunie O'Neal from BBW. Here's why I'm like Tami because I don't take any mess from people and am quick to tell people how it is. Plus she is a survivor and will have the back of her friends which really describes me. I've survived so much and I have folks back that I shouldn't have, but anywho. I'm also like Shaunie because she's in charge and runs the show but she's not the focal point. And Shaunie just like me is a mother first and everything else is second fiddle.

    4. Favorite color and why?

Are you serious???? PINK!!! I actually hated pink growing up because it was my mom's favorite and anything to piss her off was what I liked. But, the minute I looked in my daughter's eyes I fell in love with pink. It's my daughter's favorite too LOL!

    5. If you went to the Country Fair what would be your favorite food to eat?

Me and my babies go every year and my favorite thing to still eat is the roasted corn with the butter, mayonnaise, seasoning salt, and spices.

    G. K. said......(hey what does that stand for by the way?)

    1.  Favorite place to hand with your children:

I'm a total homebody.  I love to hang out at home and watch the boys play in the pool.  Sometimes we have family game night and play card or board games.  Those are special times.

    2.  Dream car is the Maserati Gran Turismo.

    3.  If you were a reality TV Star who would you be?  I could never be a reality TV star.  Even though I feel like my life is an adventure, I don't think I'd want to share it with the world on a regular basis.  Although, I would love to host or narrate a reality show!  LOL

    4.  Favorite color and why?  My favorite color is PINK.  I've always loved it since I was a little girl.  To me it represents femininity and love.

    5.  If you went to the Country Fair what would be your favorite food to eat?  Hmmmm, that's a tough one.  There's always so much yummy that's horrible for you, but tastes soooo good!  Probably some good 'ol fashioned, homemade fudge.

Sounds like both of these Fab Gals love fast cars and tasty treats.  DIVA APPROVED! We are for sure going to have lots to chat about and have a smashing good time.  This Saturday, 10/6 8AM EST and 5AM PST, Cocktails and Conversation Radio.

    Fitness - Losing the Motivation

It's happened, I've lost my work out mojo.  Not even Pinterest is able to get me out of this slump.  I was headed to the gym on Saturday and did everything possible to NOT go.  I mean I changed the filter in the central air - yeah I REALLY didn't want to go to the gym.  So I was feeling bad and while searching the internet, well YouTube I found workout videos.  Sure I knew they existed but didn't think they were big studio productions with certified personal trainers!  I wasn't expecting Richard Simmons or anything but wow some of these chicks are just EVERYTHANG.  The one I liked the most was Tiffany Rothe - 10 minute videos that will work your waist/ab area and I tell you I'm sore two days later, sore with a heating pad mind you.  So follow this link and try a video or two, I was excited so I did three in a row - I don't recommend that if you are just getting back off the couch. Work those abs honey and have some fun!
